At our BCG al Lago event you and your peers will work with an organization on a key strategic topic, build the case on how they can improve their business to unlock value, and present your solution to their leadership.

By taking part in a workshop facilitated by our consultants and coaches, you will build the skills to excel in case solving, nurture your personal growth, and seek solutions through teamwork.

Wednesday Sept. 27

Welcome to BCG

We will happily get to know you at our Zurich office during our welcome breakfast.

We will start with our BCG skills workshop and introduce you to the organization and the business challenge you will be working on, together with your team. Afterwards, we will travel to Ticino by bus.

In the evening, it's time to enjoy la dolce vita with good food and drinks, and to have fun.

Thursday Sept. 28

Teamwork is key

This day will be centered around teaming: after working on the case, the time has come to challenge yourself and try to find a solution with your team.

Hop on board for our teambuilding activity at the lake!

After conquering the Lago Maggiore, the day will end in style with a local dinner.

Friday Sept. 29

Case presentation

The moment of truth: you and your team will present your case to the leadership team of the organization that we partner with.

When all cases are presented, it's time to turn the tables, and we will answer all your pressing questions about consulting and careers at BCG.

Finally, we will conclude the workshop with a lunch at the lake, before embarking on our journey back to Zurich.

Meet our BCG al Lago 2023 coaches

During our three-day event in Ascona, our BCG al Lago team will guide you through the case work & tell them all you have ever wanted to know about consulting at BCG. Click on the pictures to find out more.

Théophile de Cazenove - Consultant

Prior to joining BCG, Theophile co-founded a network of freelancers and worked as an independent on data intensive process digitization and ecommerce projects. Theophile holds a MSc in Management of Technology, a BSc in Communication Systems from EPFL, and is a certified Professional Scrum Product Owner.

Carolina Sartoris - Associate

In March 2022, Carolina joined our BCG Zurich office as an Associate. She has Master's degree in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. During her studies she had exchange semesters Hong Kong & Zurich.

Sonja Loikala - Principal

In September 2019, Sonja joined the BCG Zurich office as Project Leader. She is a member of the Financial Institutions practice. Prior starting at BCG, Sonja worked as Team Head in the Strategy and Business Development team at UBS Global Wealth Management.

Alex Ambuehl - Consultant

In June 2022, Alex joined the Zurich office as an Associate. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration and an M.A. in Banking and Finance from the University of St. Gallen (incl. exchanges in Amsterdam and Paris).

Jemery Merz - Partner

In July 2015, Jeremy joined BCG as an Associate. He is a core member of BCG's Technology, Media and Telecommunication (TMT) practice area with a deep focus on 5G, regulatory and mobile network topics.

Richard Probst - Project Leader

In November 2018, Richard joined the BCG Zurich office as an Associate. Before joining BCG, he graduated with a M.Sc. degree from the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), a CEMS Master from SSE and HEC Paris, and a B.Sc. degree from WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management.

Tamara Abisaleh - Consultant

Tamara joined BCG's Geneva office as an Associate in March 2020. She holds a Life Sciences BSc and Bioengineering MSc from EPFL with a master’s thesis in genetics and neuroscience from Harvard Medical School.

Simone Fernandes - Principal

At BCG, Simone has primarily been involved with projects in the biopharmaceutical & medtech industry. She holds a Master's degree in Medicinal & Industrial Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich.

Alain Illi - Principal

In 2014, Alain joined BCG as an Associate. Prior to joining BCG, Alain graduated from ETH Zurich with a MSc in Computer Science, and recently from London Business School with an MBA.
