Advanced degree candidates (ADs) are students who are currently pursuing their PhD, postdoc, or medical degree (including veterinary and dental medicine), as well as current residents and practicing physicians. If you are thinking about your life after an advanced degree and interested in a business career, we encourage you to explore all of the opportunities available at BCG!
Challenging the Conventional
At BCG, we recognise that conventional approaches are often inadequate in helping our client get to where they need to be. We believe that the toughest business problems must be met with creative thinking and a diversity of backgrounds, viewpoints, and perspectives. As a consultant with an advanced degree background, you’ll bring a unique experience that will make a different kind of impact.
Immediate Client Impact
Your fresh and distinct perspective is valued at BCG, and we know that your intellectual curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving abilities will enable you to make an impact for clients from day one. At BCG, you will continuously expand your areas of expertise, enhance your skills, and advance your career at a pace that unmatched by most other companies.
Guided by Experience
We offer extensive training that is customised for non-business backgrounds to ensure a strong foundation as you make the transition from the academic or scientific world to strategy consulting. You’ll learn from our on-the-job apprenticeship model, and have plenty of mentorship opportunities from BCGers who have made similar transitions.
Advanced Degree Candidate Eligibility
To qualify as an AD candidate, you would need to be in one of the following degrees or pathways:
PhDs and postdocs
Medical students (including veterinary, dental, and pharmacy)
Medics in foundation training
Generally, AD candidates have
2 years or less of work experiences (not including a post-doc.) If you have 2 or more years of work experience, you might qualify for our experienced hire pathway.
