The Application Process

Before Applying

Create or log into your BCG Profile

Update your profile information:
  • Resume: in the Resume and​ Other Documents section
  • Top two office preferences: when you complete your application, you will be prompted to confirm your top 2 office preferences. We will use the latest office preferences saved in your profile to determine your location interests, and any updates made in your application will automatically sync to your profile upon submission. Please do not change your office preferences when submitting multiple applications within the same period.
    • If at least one of your office preferences is located outside the U.S., you will also need to complete the relavant International Application

Navigate to the application(s) that aligns with your top two office preferences. 

If you are interested in:
  • U.S. Offices only: Apply to the U.S. application
  • U.S. and international offices: Apply to the US application and the international application below
  • Offices outside of the U.S. only: Apply only to the international application below

After Applying

Once you have applied, you will be prompted to:
  • Complete the Consultant Career Assessment (CCA) - FAQs here (if you applied to the U.S. application).
    • CCA invitations will be sent 30-90 minutes after your application is submitted.
    • Please Note: You will have 48 hours to complete the CCA.
  • Select Candidates: Complete the online case (~35 minutes)
    • A select group of candidates will be invited to complete the online case ~2 weeks after the application deadline.
    • Please Note: candidates that have previously taken the online case will not be prompted to take it again.

BCG Launch

BCG Launch is a virtual series designed to give current undergraduate and non-MBA master’s students a genuine, behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to start a consulting career at BCG. Launch sessions will explore the fundamentals of consulting, the BCG Associate application process, and life at BCG.

Undergraduate and non-MBA master's students from all fields of study and backgrounds are welcome to apply.

Note: If you are currently pursuing your MBA or other educational degree, you are not eligible to apply for these deadlines. BCG has a strong presence on many campuses and will connect directly with those who indicate an interest in pursuing a full-time or summer internship position with BCG.

We recommend applying when you feel most prepared and your resume is finalized.

We follow a structured process to review all applications thoroughly.

Cover letters are not required for Summer or Full-Time applications. Candidates are welcome to submit one via the “Other Documents” section.

The Consulting Career Assessment (CCA) will help us learn more about you, above and beyond what's on your resume and application. It provides an unbiased, multidimensional insight into your potential for success at BCG.
The assessment will be sent 30–90 minutes after you submit your application. It takes approximately 30–35 minutes, and you will have 48 hours to complete it once you receive the invitation.
