Our Growing Future Leaders (GFL) Internship Program aims to help students who have demonstrated a commitment to creating an environment of inclusion and respect for the individual and who have a unique perspective or background. This 10-week immersive summer internship program aims to support and develop students as they prepare to become leaders in consulting and the global business community.

Program Overview
Our Growing Future Leaders (GFL) Internship Program provides a highly select group of sophomore students the opportunity to experience BCG’s work and culture in one of our U.S. offices. Interns receive mentorship, training, development, and work as a member of a BCG case team. During the summer, interns will have exposure to consultants from our Employee Networks, including the Black+Latinx@BCG and Indigenous@BCG Networks, who will share more about their experience in consulting and at BCG. 

Characteristics of a Growing Future Leaders Program Candidate:
  • Current sophomore student at a U.S. university, who expects to graduate between December 2027 and August 2028​
  • Demonstrated commitment to creating an enviroment of inclusion and respect for the individual and/or demonstrated perspective or background
  • Outstanding academic achievement​
  • Passionate problem solver and analytical thinker​
  • Strong leadership skills and team player​
  • Excellent communication skills​

More information on the 2026 Growing Future Leaders Program to come in late Summer.

Applicants will be asked to provide:
  • Resume​
  • Cover letter (optional -- you may upload your resume twice if the system requires an upload and you do no want to submit a cover letter)​
  • Short essay about an experience that brings to life either your commitment to creating an environment of inclusion and respect for the individual, or that demonstrated the unique perspective or background you will bring to BCG (100 words or less)​
  • College transcripts​
  • Your top 2 U.S. office preferences (weighted to reflect your level of interest in each)​

Additional requirements  for candidates applying to a U.S. Office:
  • ACT and/or SAT total scores with sub-score breakdowns
  • The consulting career assessment (CCA) (30-35 minutes):
    • CCA will help us learn more about you, above and beyond what's on your resume and application. It provides unbiased, multi-dimensional insight into your potential for success at BCG.
    • If you apply to a U.S. application, you will receive an email from talentcentral@shl.com following the deadline, inviting you to complete the assessment. You will have 24 hours to complete the assessment once you receive the invitation. Please add talentcentral@shl.com to your safe sender list to ensure you receive our emails.

This internship program is open to all who are curious about or interested in the world of consulting. We welcome students of all majors to apply. There is no prior knowledge of business concepts required to apply for the Growing Future Leaders Internship.

Office preference does not influence your chances of being selected, and all offices are excited to review applications! We encourage you to list the office location(s) in which you are most interested in living and working in post-graduation. All offices have the same interview process and hiring standards.

Yes, this program is only for our U.S. and Canadian offices. If you select an office outside of the U.S. and Canada, your application will not be considered for the Growing Future Leaders Program.

If you are interested in an internship in one of our international offices, we encourage you to apply for a Summer Associate Internship after you have completed your sophomore (second year) of college
