I joined BCG in September of 2022. Since the first day of work, BCG’s learning and development program – such as the green bridge program – has taught me the hard/soft skills needed within consulting. Also, with the kind consideration of the HR team, I was able to experience multiple PAs and different styles of projects – which has taught me to deep dive to an expert level even in a short time. Through such experiences, I was able to see myself grow closer to BCGs core values and grow into a consultant.

I have participated in BCG's social impact immersion program since last October, which has allowed me to experience diversity, drive social impact, and achieve professional growth. The program has provided invaluable cross-cultural experiences, allowing me to collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Working alongside colleagues from other BCG offices in the SEA and ME region exposed me to both the unified BCG way of working and the cultural differences of each region. This exposure has enhanced my adaptability and cultural intelligence, enabling me to navigate diverse working styles, perspectives, and communication norms. The program has broadened my understanding of the world and reinforced the importance of open-mindedness in cross-cultural collaborations.

As I joined BCG with a bit of prior industry experience in the battery/energy sector, I was excited when I was staffed on a project to advise a leading global battery manufacturer to develop a growth strategy for its new business units. It was very challenging, as the industry is very nascent and has no defined path, but the team was able to come up with an answer that ultimately resulted in the establishment of an independent venture within the company.
Even more rewarding was the fact that the same venture reached out to us with a follow-up project a year later to solidify its position in the market. Building a trusting relationship while paving exciting new paths makes this experience at BCG so worthwhile.
