What type of profiles is BCG Mexico looking for?
BCG Mexico seeks individuals with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, leadership potential, academic excellence, and a drive to make a meaningful impact, regardless of their background or field of study.

• Associates: Undergraduate students in their final year or graduates within three years of completing their degree.
• Summer Consultants: Full-time MBA, MPP, or MPA students seeking a summer internship between their first and second year of study.
• Consultants: Professionals who have recently completed their MBA, MPP, or MPA, or those with 5–7 years of consulting or relevant experience.

What documents are required to apply to BCG Mexico?

You only need to submit your resume; our office does not require a cover letter or transcripts. When uploading your resume, we recommend using the MBA format, which can be found online through various business schools.

Can I apply to multiple BCG offices at the same time?
You can apply to up to two offices of your preference, but you must apply to each office’s vacancy separately. However, you can only have one active recruiting process at a time. This means that if one office is considering your application, the others cannot proceed until that process is completed.

Can I reapply to BCG Mexico?
If you applied to BCG Mexico, completed the assessments, and did not receive an interview invite, you may reapply for the same cohort during the next recruitment window. If you were interviewed but did not receive an offer, you can be reconsidered for the next cohort, provided you have gained additional experience or completed an advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPP, MPA)

Does BCG Mexico hold Associate Internship positions for undergraduate students?
No, we do not. However, you can apply for our full-time Associate position up to a year before graduating, allowing you to secure your spot before completing your degree. To join BCG as an Associate, all your courses must be fully completed

Are the Recruiting Processes for Mexico City and Monterrey different?
No, we act as one office so you can apply to either one and go through the same process. 

What is the selection process like at BCG Mexico?
The selection process at BCG Mexico begins with submitting your application, followed by completing the Online Case Experience (OCE) and, for Associates, the Consulting Career Assessment (CCA). Based on your performance, we will review your profile and determine if you will be invited for case interviews.

How long does the selection process take after the recruiting deadline arrives?
It depends on the cohort. For Associates, you will complete the OCE and CCA the weekend immediately after the application deadline and receive news about the interview invitation a few days later. Interview rounds typically occur one week apart. The entire process, from the application deadline to receiving an offer, usually takes two to three weeks.

For those applying during their MBA, MPA or MPP; the length will vary according to the cohort, Summer Internship or Full Time.

For other cohorts the process can take from 1 month to a few months.

What is the Online Case Experience (OCE), and how should I prepare for it?
The Online Case Experience (OCE) is an interactive exercise where you solve a business case guided by Casey, a chatbot. It simulates the Case Interview experience and evaluates your problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preparation for the OCE is the same as for a Case Interview—extensive study and practice of business cases are essential, as the case can cover any industry or practice area. You will need a personal computer with a reliable internet connection. The OCE takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, and everything is conducted in English. Read more about this test here. 

What is the Consulting Career Assessment (CCA)?
The Consulting Career Assessment (CCA) is a tool used to gain deeper insights into your skills and potential beyond what’s reflected in your resume or interview performance. No preparation is needed, and the assessment takes about 30 minutes to complete. To participate, you’ll need a personal computer with a reliable internet connection. Read more about this test here. 

Please note that this test is currently exclusive to the Associate recruiting process.

Do I need advanced technical knowledge to pass the assessments?
No, advanced technical knowledge is not required. The assessments are designed to evaluate your problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills, as well as your ability to approach complex challenges with a structured mindset. Basic familiarity with business concepts and case-solving techniques is helpful but not mandatory.

What should I do if I’m unable to complete the CCA or OCE within the indicated timeframe?
If you are unable to complete the CCA or OCE within the given timeframe, please let us know. You will have the opportunity to complete these assessments during the next recruiting window. However, note that this may be several months away and that we are unable to apply the assessments outside of the established dates.

How can I prepare for a case interview?
To prepare for a case interview, focus on understanding the structure of case interviews, practicing case studies to develop problem-solving frameworks, and improving your ability to clearly communicate your thought process. We recommend leveraging case books available in libraries or online, peer practice, and consulting clubs.

What skills are evaluated during the interview process?
During the interview process, we evaluate problem-solving, analytical thinking, communication skills, and your ability to structure and approach complex challenges effectively. Additionally, we assess interpersonal skills and cultural fit with BCG.

Are there informational sessions or events to learn more about BCG Mexico?
