What You'll Do
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical professional to join the Asia-Pacific (AP) Client Team as a Manager focused on Investments & Pricing. In this role, you will lead complex commercial initiatives, lead the AP Investment Desk, manage a small team (including the AP Client Team Analyst / Senior Analyst) and support our team of AP Commercial Directors, who support MDPs (our senior client-facing leaders) in crafting & negotiating complex commercial offers for clients. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in business, finance, or commercial functions, who is eager to collaborate with senior stakeholders, optimize commercial strategies, and enable sustainable growth across our AP client portfolio.
As the AP Client Team Manager (Investments & Pricing), you will be responsible for operating the Investment Desk, and designing and delivering strategic initiatives across the following key areas:
Investments (in client price) Operations
- Oversee strategic price investments across the AP region, ensuring these align with both local and global policy frameworks.
- Be the public face of the AP Investment & Pricing Desk, which involves receiving requests from MDPs and finance teams for strategic client pricing, reviewing these requests In line with policy, syndicating approvals from relevant stakeholders, communicating directly with MDPs to gather further details or advise on applications, and recommending and communicating outcomes
- Supported by a junior resource (AP Client Team Analyst / Senior Analyst - currently hiring), keep close track of all global & regional Investments approved for AP projects, reviewing use of AP annual investment budget, return on Investment (outcomes) and providing regular and ad hoc reporting on Investment usage and trends
- Lead and run annual processes for selection of priority AP clients for significant Investment efforts, coordinate and run mid-year and end-of-year reviews with MDPs and other stakeholders
Investments Strategy & Policy
- Collaborate with global investment team and local finance teams to improve investment policy, improve data transparency and investment learnings
- Drive stronger understanding for MDPs and other stakeholders of our Investment options, Including through our microsite and other Investment knowledge tools
Client Prioritization & Regional Processes
- Manage AP’s approach to client segmentation and regional priority client selection, in coordination with local systems, practice areas, and global guidelines.
- Implement and track key strategic growth initiatives providing insights to leadership on progress against objectives.
CCO Enablement & Governance
- Support Client Coordinating Officers (CCOs) (our MDPs leading client relationships) by defining responsibilities, overseeing rotation and tenure, and measuring KPIs for success.
- Coordinate governance & appointments of CCOs and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders
Strategic Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct periodic deep-dive studies on pricing, investment returns, and portfolio performance to inform senior-level decisions.
- Design and maintain dashboards to track key commercial KPIs, ensuring timely updates for regional executives.
Team Leadership & L&D
- Oversee and mentor your direct reports (including the AP Client Team Senior Analyst / Analyst), promoting professional development and effective collaboration.
- Work with L&D teams to create training programs that build commercial capabilities (pricing, relationship management, proposal development) across AP.
Special Projects & Initiatives
- Lead or contribute to ad-hoc global/regional projects—such as piloting new digital tools, exploring emerging markets, or responding to shifting commercial priorities.
- Partner with local Business Development teams, Practice Areas, and global stakeholders to ensure alignment on key regional initiatives and challenges.
WHAT WE DO – OUR TEAM
The AP Client Team is a dynamic commercial team supporting the region’s MDPs and senior leadership in growing our business, while managing commercial risk. Our team includes four Commercial Directors and three core team members, led by the AP Client Team Senior Director.
We partner across the organization, including AP Systems, finance, legal, risk functions, and global leadership, to provide:
- Support for CCOs in building effective client relationships and sharing best practices.
- Guidance for MDPs on commercial acumen, price investments, and value-based pricing opportunities.
- Investment funding for strategic pricing of commercial offers
- Strategic analysis of client portfolios, investment outcomes, and regional growth.
Our Commercial Directors provide thought partnering to MDP teams for complex commercial opportunities (e.g. value-based pricing (VBP) arrangements) as well as commercial best practice training and resources.
What You'll Bring
- MBA and bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or engineering field
- Minimum 7-10+ years’ experience with finance, business development, commercial roles, or other relevant functions
- Experience working in a professional services firm, especially consulting, Is highly regarded
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal

- Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborating with Finance, Legal, Risk, People, L&D, and other global/regional teams to implement and refine commercial initiatives.
- AP Client Team Senior Director & Commercial Directors: Shaping frameworks for investments, pricing, and best practices.
- AP Client Team Senior Manager (Commercial Excellence - currently hiring): supporting strategic Initiatives to better understand our client portfolio, generate & distil Insights from our client-facing leaders and support the growth and development of our CCOs
- Practice Areas & Business Development Teams: Deploying region-specific pilots or commercial tools, ensuring alignment on strategic goals.
- Peers in equivalent roles in other Regions: Coordinating on global rollouts, exchanging best practices, and leveraging lessons learned across BCG’s global network.
