Our interview process is a two-way conversation—we want to get to know you while you learn more about us. Come ready to showcase your skills, achievements, and experience. We believe solving big challenges takes diverse voices, perspectives, and backgrounds. In your interview, you’ll have the space to bring your personality and experiences to life.

 Whether your goal is a consulting career or you’re applying for another position, you’re most likely to succeed here with qualities like intellectual curiosity, creative thinking, integrity, an open and collaborative attitude, self-efficacy and drive. For client-facing positions, we’ll also assess your problem-solving and analytical skills, supporting you with the tools and resources you need to prepare so you can excel on the big day.

There are two main styles of interviews at BCG:

Skills interview
This interview is what most people would consider a traditional interview, where BCG assesses your skills and experience in relation to the role for which you have applied. You should avoid the temptation to simply reiterate your resume or CV. Make sure you come prepared to showcase your personality and your reasons for wanting to work at BCG.

Problem Solving Interview
If you’re applying for a client-facing position, you will be assessed on your problem-solving abilities during a case study interview. This interview will test your numerical skills, business knowledge, and communication style, as well as any technical expertises and specialist skills the role requires.

 Getting your interview preparation right.


As you prepare to interview at BCG, consider the interview process as an opportunity to find a good fit—between you, the role, and our culture and values. While we’ll assess your skills and experience and learn about your strengths, passions, and how you collaborate with others, you’ll have the chance to ask BCGers questions to become as familiar with us as possible. Please let your recruiter as soon as possible know if you believe you need any reasonable accommodations as part of the interview process.

Prepare thoroughly.
