On the occasion of the International Day of Forests, the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma launched DigiVan—an innovative, digital-first initiative set to transform forestry management. The event was also graced by Shri Sanjay Sharma Hon’ble Minister of Forests, Environment, Climate Change & Science and Technology, Govt of Rajasthan, Smt. Aparna Arora Additional Chief Secretary, Environment and Forests, Govt of Rajasthan and Shri Arijit Banerjee PCCF – HoFF, Rajasthan Forest Department.
Developed by the Rajasthan Forest Department, in collaboration with JICA DXLab and BCG with technology partner SatSure, DigiVan represents a significant leap forward in sustainable forest management and conservation through cutting-edge Digital Public Infrastructure. This initiative is a pivotal step towards data-driven forest governance, driving climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, and improving the livelihoods of local communities. As DigiVan grows, it has the potential to set a global standard for digital forestry, solidifying India’s leadership in sustainable environmental management.
