Growing Future Leaders Internship Program
Our Growing Future Leaders (GFL) Internship Program aims to help students who have demonstrated a commitment to promoting the firm’s values of diversity and inclusion within their community during high school, college, or otherwise. This 10-week immersive summer internship program aims to support and develop students as they prepare to become leaders in consulting and the global business community.

Program Overview

Our Growing Future Leaders (GFL) Internship Program provides a highly select group of sophomore (second year) students the opportunity to experience BCG’s work and culture in one of our U.S. or Canadian offices. In this time, you will be paired with a mentor, participate in training and development programs, and work as a member of a BCG case team. The program will also provide exposure to consultants from our Employee Networks, including the Black+Latinx@BCG and Indigenous@BCG Networks, who will share more about their experience in consulting and at BCG. Upon successful completion of the GFL Internship Program, individuals are eligible for a scholarship & offer to return as a Summer Associate following their junior (third year).​

Characteristics of a Growing Future Leaders Program Candidate:
  • Current sophomore (second year) student at U.S. or Canadian university, who expects to graduate between December 2027 and August 2028​
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting the firm’s values of diversity and inclusion within their community during high school, college, or otherwise​
  • Outstanding academic achievement​
  • Passionate problem solver and analytical thinker​
  • Strong leadership skills and team player​
  • Excellent communication skills​

Application Details

The deadline for Growing Future Leaders has passed.

You will be asked to provide:
  • Resume​
  • Cover letters are optional. If the system has the field marked as required, you can upload a second copy of your resume.​
  • Short essay about how you have demonstrated a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within your community (100 words or less)​
  • College transcripts​
  • Your top 2 office U.S. or Canadian office preferences (weighted to reflect your level of interest in each)​

Additional requirements  for candidates applying to a U.S. Office:
  • ACT and/or SAT total scores with sub-score breakdowns

This internship program is open to all who are curious about or interested in the world of consulting. We welcome students of all majors to apply. There is no prior knowledge of business concepts required to apply for the Growing Future Leaders Internship.

Office preference does not influence your chances of being selected, and all offices are excited to review applications! We encourage you to list the office location(s) in which you are most interested in living and working in post-graduation. All offices have the same interview process and hiring standards.

Yes, this program is only for our U.S. and Canadian offices. If you select an office outside of the U.S. and Canada, your application will not be considered for the Growing Future Leaders Program.
