Empowering Veterans and Former Military at BCG

BCG supports former veterans to ensure their successful transition from the military, and empowers them to launch their new careers.

Leaders United

Our former military and veterans employee resource groups support and empower BCGers, ensuring that they are able to successfully contribute their own unique experience and skills to the firm. Members include BCGers from all around the world that were formerly in the millitary or intelligence agencies—all of whom have successfully transitioned to BCG and brought a strong foundation of leadership, mentorship, and adaptability to the firm.

We ensure our veterans’ success through ongoing training, coaching, feedback, and formal and informal mentorship. We also offer opportunities throughout the year to connect, share experiences, and engage with other members and share experiences at social events and conferences.

Yes! Anyone at BCG is welcome to join, including those who formerly served in a military, of any country. Our groups are also open to former intelligence or foreign service professionals, as they share similar experiences of public service and commitment.

Our members have your back as you acclimate to and grow with BCG. We make sure you have access to ongoing training, coaching, feedback, and network building to ensure your success - from helping you translate BCG terminology and norms, to giving advice on accessing BCG’s network and resources, we will help you navigate the best of BCG. We will also be sounding boards who can relate to your same challenges, and connect you with others to form informal and formal mentorships.


Not at all. You have complete flexibility as you navigate the staffing process and develop a topic expertise. Some veterans seeking new opportunities will steer away from federal or public sector work, others like to stay within the area they are familiar with and know best. You have the opportunity to control your own direction at BCG.
