How was your experience with the Circles program?

I am a MAccFin Master student at the HSG and I took part in the BCG Circle Program in Spring 2020. Despite being held online, due to the covid-19 pandemic, it was still a very interactive program, in which we met approximately once a month and discussed very interesting topics. Taking part in the BCG Circle program gave us insights into BCG and a behind-the-scenes look at working at BCG. Moreover, we were able to interact not only with our mentors, but also with other BCGers from different practice areas, who joined our calls.

During our monthly sessions, we got to know each other, solve cases, learn the basics of consulting, and got familiar with the recruiting process. Our BCG mentors not only answered all our consulting-related questions, but also offered us general tips, intellectually challenging exercises, and one-on-one coffee chats. I would highly recommend this program to women who are interested in learning more about a career in consulting as well as getting in touch with talented and inspiring individuals.

To sum up: This mentorship opened BCG's work and amazing culture to me, and additionally connected me with many inspiring women from various disciplines. It
also opened doors for me in such a way that I am currently a Visiting Associate at BCG Zurich.

How was your experience with the Circles program?

I am currently pursuing my master in Banking and Finance at the University of St. Gallen with an exchange semester in Paris. Although I have a finance background, I have always been deeply intrigued by the consulting world. Wanting to learn more about the work of a consultant and the culture, the BCG Circles mentoring program was the perfect fit for someone like me, a soon-to-be graduate exploring exciting possibilities in the working world.

During my time at the program, I gained valuable insights into the industry, developed personal skills in workshops, and mostly, I got to meet inspiring people at BCG and among my fellow mentees. I particularly enjoyed the warm community within the program and the firm, where I felt that everyone, despite different backgrounds, shared similar interests and a drive to push one another to their best, for example in giving constructive feedback in interactive sessions or exchanging ideas. I sincerely thank all the amazing people involved in the making of this memorable and fun experience, and I look forward to being part of the team soon!
