2024 BCG Scholarship & Early Intake Program

At BCG, we have a proud history of offering annual scholarships since 2004 to university students in Australia and New Zealand to support outstanding future leaders with their studies and beyond.

Alongside our Scholarship Program, we consider outstanding university students in their second-last year of study (or earlier) for a full-time graduate position at BCG.
A life changing experience

At BCG, our purpose is to unlock the potential of those who advance the world. We solve the toughest challenges and drive impact by bringing together diverse, multidisciplinary teams from across our businesses and geographies.

We are looking for driven, curious students from all backgrounds who are excited by a challenge and want to have a positive impact on their communities, whether local, national, or global. Through our scholarship and Early Intake program, we want to help you reach your goals and empower you to become future leaders and change-makers.

If that sounds like you, we want to hear from you.

As a BCG Scholar, you will receive $20,000 in scholarship funding, a mentor through the remainder of your studies, and a full-time graduate job offer with BCG Australia and New Zealand.

Alongside our scholarship program, we will consider students who meet the scholarship eligibility criteria for a graduate role as part of our Early Intake program.

As a graduate at BCG, you will be tackling the toughest challenges, benefiting from accelerated learning that serves you for a lifetime, and working with a caring, diverse, and inclusive community of exceptional people.

We encourage students from all backgrounds, experiences and disciplines to apply – there is no ‘standard type’. Our process is designed to help you get to know us and what we do at the same time as we are getting to know you.  Through that process, we hope you come to see BCG as a place that provides an unparalleled start to your career and enables you to have the positive impact you seek.

Application Process

First Nations Internship & Scholarship
Applications close on 26th July at 12 noon (AEST).
As a scholarship applicant, we will also be considering you for a graduate Associate position with BCG. When applying online, ensure you select our Consulting – Full-Time application role under our "always-open" roles. Please note the Scholarship you are applying for in your cover letter.

You will be asked to select up to three offices of your choice in order of preference. To be considered for BCG within Australia or New Zealand, you must select either Auckland, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, or Sydney as your first office preference.

Our selection process has several stages to help us learn about you, and for you to learn more about BCG and a career in consulting:
  • After submitting your online application, eligible candidates will receive an invitation to complete our online case assessment.
  • Our team will review your application and case assessment before shortlisting successful candidates for first-round case interviews.
  • Case study interviews are different from behavioural-based interviews and to help you prepare for them, you’ll be invited to attend one of our Case Study Workshops either in person or virtually.
  • Candidates selected for interview will also be allocated a current BCG consultant as a “buddy” who can answer questions that you have about consulting, BCG or the interview process along the way.
  • After the first round of interviews, we’ll let you know straight away whether you’ve been selected to come back for our final interviews. These will be held the week after the first round of interviews.
To help you with your application, we will run a workshop on writing a good cover letter and resume in April.  You can also review the FAQs below.

Check out our interview preparation materials here.
Students in their penultimate year of a professional Masters degree not available as undergraduate e.g., at the University of Melbourne or University of Western Australia are eligible to apply for our scholarships.
