Student Internships
At the Stockholm office, we offer students the opportunity to expericence consulting at BCG firsthand through our internship programs. We offer paid internships within generalist consulting, data science with BCG X and IT consulting with BCG Platinion.

During several weeks, you will work in a cross-functional team to solves the most pressing issues our clients face, delivering impactful solutions together with your team. As an intern you are actively involved in casework, responsible for your own module or tasks. This could be gathering data, developing models, meeting client stakeholders or preparing and presenting solutions to our clients. During your internship you will be mentored by a member of your case team, providing formal and informal feedback. Lastly, getting involved in team dinners, activities and social happenings at the office will give you a sense of our people and culture at BCG! 

To ensure that you are set up for success, you will start your internship with trainings to give you a toolkit that will kick-start your learning experience. 

After the internship  
We hope that you’ll have a positive internship experience that will leave you curious to continue your journey at BCG. At the end of your internship you may be offered to return to BCG in a full-time role upon completing your studies.

Who do we look for?  
At BCG, we place strong emphasis on gathering diverse perspectives from people with a range of backgrounds, so there is no “one type” of person we look for. What BCGers do have in common is the curiosity and drive to solve problems, and the ability to become comfortable with the ambiguity that these challenges can bring.

Studying outside of Sweden?  
We accept applications from students who study outside of Sweden, however we encourage you to only apply if you have a genuine interest in pursuing a career at BCG in Sweden. We ask that you please motivate your reason for applying to the Stockholm office in your cover letter. Fluency in Swedish is not required.

Application process  
A completed application includes a CV and cover letter in English, as well as transcripts from university studies. If you are applying to a generalist role, you will be asked to complete an online business case and a Logical Reasoning Test. The logical reasoning test consists of 80 questions that you have to complete in 30 minutes supplementing the business case with a nuanced logical profile, measuring specific parameters that are rekevant for the work. You are not allowed to use a calculator during the test.

Interview Process 
The interview process consists of two rounds. In the first round you will complete an online business case, and two case interviews. The online case consists of 8-10 multiple-choice, short answer, and fill-in questions. You will also be asked to answer a question over video. The second round consists of one additional case interview.

  • Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the year
  • Duration is 6 weeks
  • You may be offered to return as an Associate upon graduation
  • Ten start dates to choose from
  • Available for students in year 2-4 of university studies
  • Open to all universities and academic backgrounds
BCG Platinion 
IT Consulting Internship
Interview process 
The interview process consists of three IT case study interviews, separated in two rounds. Before the first interview, you will complete a short online logic test. The invite will be sent out one week before your interview and you can complete it any time before taking the interview.

  • Currently recruiting for interns for 2024
  • No deadline, but limited seats per month
  • Duration is 6-8 weeks
  • You may be offered to return as an IT Architect upon graduation
  • We recommed that you apply 6-9 months before you intend to start the internship
  • Available for Master students in technical study programs or business with a digital angle
  • Previous related work experience is a plus
BCG X
Visiting Data Scientist
Interview process 
The interview process will consist of 1 online coding test in the first round, and two technical case interviews in the second round. The interview process may vary depending on the career track you choose, which our recruiting team will inform you of. 


  • Application process is ongoing all year round 
  • Duration is 10 weeks 
  • You may be offered to return as a full-time Data Scientist 
  • Several start dates to choose from throughout the year 
  • Available for master’s students within Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Physics.  
  • Previous related work experience is a plus

Consulting Roles
As a consultant at BCG, you will be working alongside the world’s top companies on cases that reshape business and society, while increasing your understanding of complex business problems, engaging with diverse perspectives, and developing new skills. 

Generalist or Specialist? 
At BCG, you may choose to join as a generalist consultant, specialist, or expert. Most commonly, Associates start their career in a generalist track, working within a wide range of industries to broaden their experience. Specialist or expert consultants have typically worked in a specific industry for a few years, and choose to focus on that area at BCG. We also have initiatives in place that allow you to choose the specialization you are interested in early on in your career in order to tailor your pathway. 

Application Process 
We recruit for Associates Consultants on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Together with the recruiting team you will decide a suitable timing for your interviews.  

When you are ready to apply, you may specify which position you are applying for. Please attach your CV and cover letter in English, as well as transcripts from university studies. Often, the interview process will start with a coffee chat with our recruiting team to determine which role is suitable for your experience, and to discuss the upcoming interview process. We will connect you to BCG colleagues within the Practice Areas or industries of your interest so that you can gain an understanding of the work that we do within that field.

In the Stockholm office we recruit for full-time digital consultant roles on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Together with the recruiting team you will decide a suitable timing for your interviews. TDA applicants will go through the same process as our full-time generalist consultants, however you will meet current Digital consultants from BCG in each step of the interview process.

BCG Platinion
BCG Platinion focuses on advising large clients on their business-critical IT projects and challenges. Our focus areas cover IT architecture to digital transformation, enterprise solutions, agile delivery, cybersecurity, and implementation management. We partner with our clients to identify their highest-value opportunities, address their most critical challenges, and steer implementations of their key initiatives.

Application process
In the Stockholm office, we recruit for full-time Platinion roles on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Together with the recruiting team you will decide a suitable timing for your interviews. The first interview round consists of an online logic test and two IT case interviews. In round two, you meet a BCG Platinion Director for another IT case study, and a local BCG interviewer for a business case interview.

BCG X
As a member of our BCG X data science consulting team, your focus is on translating real-world business problems into an appropriate quantitative context and develop models that solve these questions. You’ll combine innovative skills in (applied) mathematics, stochastics and statistics, computer science, numerical mathematics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

In the Stockholm office, we recruit for full-time BCG X roles on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Together with the recruiting team you will decide a suitable timing for your interviews. The interview process may vary depending on the track that you choose. However, all interview processes consists of a coding test, technical case interviews and or a live coding challenge.

Business Operations Roles
Our dedicated team of executive, administrative, and business operations professionals’ cuts through red tape, removes roadblocks, and protects BCG’s people and investments.  We collaborate across functions to implement strategies that drive key business goals throughout the firm.
