If you complete your HMS internship at BCG, you will spend 12 months in one specialized area. Read through the team portraits to learn more about each team, the areas of responsibility, and find out who they are looking for.
Finance
Did you always want to find out how finance and accounting from school compares to tasks in a professional finance team? During an internship in our team, you will see that it can be quite different. In our finance team you don't have to be an expert in finance and fill out accounting records, calculations and BABs. You are more likely to work a lot with large Excel spreadsheets, data sets and internal reporting tools. 
 
Are you eager to learn new skills, do you act proactively and think outside of the box? Do you have an affinity for numbers, Excel and your working style is characterized by accuracy? Then the finance team is waiting for you!

In this team you will gain deep insights into the finance and accounting department of one of the largest management consulting firms worldwide. Our 14-person, chocolate-loving, glasses-wearing finance team will always support you and is always up for a good joke. 
Marketing & Communications 
​How does a company that does not sell a tangible product advertise itself? What is the marketing & communications mix at BCG? How can we differentiate ourselves from competitors and explore creative possibilities for bringing in the unexpected and the inspirational? The marketing & communications team is the right place to get these questions answered.

Beyond traditional channels, we work to position BCG through editorial partnerships, ecosystem initiatives, and targeted sponsorships that extend the reach and resonance of our thought leadership. We showcase BCG in a way that enhances the perception of the firm, position audiences at the center of everything – from business decision makers and recruits to journalists and influencers – and personify the brand through engaging, insightful, and creative content experiences.

During your internship, you will build up practical marketing & communications skills, gain insights about the needs of our clients, and learn about the full range of channels and tactics across digital, social, media, events, and personal touchpoints.

Talent Acquisition & Talent Management

You will take on a split role with responsibilities in both the talent acquisition team as well as the talent management unit, giving you the opportunity to gain broad insights into two different areas:

Talent Acquisition
You will support the talent acquisition team in attracting and hiring diverse talent. From first contact at one of our events, throughout the interview process, until someone decides to join BCG – you will help ensure that candidates feel welcomed and supported. You will also play an important role in organizing and realizing exciting recruiting events.

Talent Management
At the same time, you will be part of the talent management unit, where you will learn how we manage staffing, absence planning, and career development at BCG. You will support the preparation of career development meetings, ensure evaluations are recorded in our system, and contribute to keeping our processes running smoothly. This is a great chance to see how we shape careers and enable our teams to perform at their best.

Are you communicative and outgoing, with the confidence to approach people and build conversations? Do you work accurately and reliably, and enjoy taking responsibility in organizational tasks? Are you curious to learn how both talent acquisiton and talent management work in practice? Then this internship is the perfect fit for you!

You will be part of two open-minded and dynamic teams, eager to support your development and offer a wide range of tasks with deep insights into talent acquisition, talent management and the consulting industry. On top of that, both teams enjoy spending time together outside of work – whether it is trying out new restaurants, doing sports or going on fun adventures.

How to apply

Convinced to do your HMS internship at BCG? Wait no longer and take this opportunity to kickstart your career in a dynamic and international environment! 

If you are in the third year of your education at a Swiss commercial college (Handelsmittelschule) and are planning to start your 1-year internship in August 2026, we look forward to receiving your application! Please upload your CV, motivation letter, grades, certificates and references in German or English via our application tool. Due to our data protection guidelines, we cannot accept any applications via email.

Timeline: We accept applications from August 28, 2025 until September 7, 2025.

Once we receive your application, we will carefully review it and get back to you as soon as possible. If your application is successful, you will first be invited to a group assessment. Candidates who progress to the second and final stage will then take part in individual interviews.
