Crack the Case - Create Impact with Strategy
For the 10th year in a row, we’re happy to invite ambitious students from across Denmark to take on a real-world Social Impact challenge. Are you ready to use your analytical skills and creativity to make a real difference?

We invite ambitious students from across Denmark to take on a real-world Social Impact challenge. Over three days, you’ll work in teams to develop strategic solutions that drive positive change, supported by BCG consultants who will coach you through the process using BCG tools and techniques.

This is your chance to experience what it’s like to be a BCG consultant, collaborate with other talented students, and tackle pressing societal issues head-on. The competition concludes with team presentations to a panel of carefully selected judges, followed by a celebratory dinner and party.

A select number of outstanding participants will have the opportunity to win a six-week paid internship with BCG Copenhagen, tailored to fit your academic schedule.

May 6th: Kick-off 

Welcome to Crack the Case and the world of BCG, where we dive into the consulting toolbox designed to get you ready for the competition ahead, and explore how we approach real-world challenges at BCG. You'll also get to know the other participants and the BCG consultants who will be there to support you and provide sparring throughout the competition. We'll round off the day with some fun team activities, followed by dinner, and time to connect. 
May 7th: Case Solving  

The competition begins as the case is revealed, and you'll work in teams of five people to solve a real-world Social Impact challenge. The teams are created by BCG based on the selected participants. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate to analyze, structure, and develop your recommendations. Expect a full day of teamwork, creative problem-solving and strategic thinking.

May 8th: Finals and Celebration 

The final day brings Crack the Case to an exciting close, as teams present their solutions to a panel of carefully selected judges and showcase their strategic thinking and creativity. The winning team will earn the extraordinary opportunity to share their insights and findings directly with the leadership team and board of the chosen case company. We'll conclude the competition with a celebratory dinner and party.

Julie is one of the creative minds behind this year’s case. She holds a degree in International Business and Politics from Copenhagen Business School and began her BCG career by participating in Crack the Case in 2022. Over the past three years, her work at BCG has spanned climate and sustainability, social impact, and industrial goods.

Jacob is the other creative mind behind this year’s case. He joined BCG as an intern in 2023 after participating in Crack the Case in 2022. Now a full-time associate in the Consumer practice, he focuses on Marketing, Sales & Pricing topics. He holds a master's degree in Finance and International Business from Aarhus University.
