At BCG, we have a proud history of offering annual scholarships since 2004 to university students in Australia and New Zealand to support outstanding future leaders with their studies and beyond.

What the Program Offers

The BCG Scholarship & Early Intake Program is designed to support outstanding future leaders throughout their university journey and beyond. If you are selected for the program, you'll receive: 

Scholarship Award



Receive $20,000 in scholarship funding to support your studies and future ambitions.

Dedicated Mentor



Be paired with a BCG mentor who will support and guide you throughout the remainder of your university studies.

Graduate Career Opportunity

Receive a full-time graduate job offer with BCG Australia and New Zealand upon successful completion of the program.

Open to undergraduate students at a registered Australian or New Zealand university who are in their penultimate (second-last) year of study or earlier.

Applications are also welcomed from students completing a Juris Doctor, Doctor of Medicine, or other eligible non-MBA master's programs at the University of Melbourne or the University of Western Australia.

General Scholarship
 

Open to undergraduate students at a registered Australian or New Zealand university who are in their penultimate (second-last) year of study or earlier.

Applications are also welcomed from students completing a Juris Doctor, Doctor of Medicine, or other eligible non-MBA master's programs at the University of Melbourne or the University of Western Australia.

First Nations Scholarship

Open to undergraduate students at an Australian or New Zealand University in their penultimate year who identify as Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, Pasifika or Maori.

Applications are also welcomed from  students completing a Juris Doctor, Doctor of Medicine, or other eligible non-MBA master's programs at the University of Melbourne or the University of Western Australia.

Scholarship & Early Intake Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process is designed to help us get to know you while giving you the opportunity to learn more about BCG and a career in consulting. Throughout the process, you'll gain insight into our work, our people, and what it's like to build your career with BCG.
Step 1

Submit Your Application

Submit your cover letter, CV, and academic transcripts as one combined PDF through our online application portal.

To be considered for BCG Australia and New Zealand, select one of our Australian or New Zealand offices as your first office preference.

Eligible candidates will then be invited to complete our online case assessment.
Step 2

Online Assessment

Our recruitment team will review your application and case assessment before shortlisting successful candidates to complete an online numerical assessment.
Step 3

Case Interviews

Successful candidates will be invited to first-round case interviews.
To help you prepare, you'll be invited to attend one of our Case Study Workshops, delivered either in person or virtually. You'll also be paired with a current BCG consultant who will act as your  "buddy", answering your questions about consulting, BCG, and the interview process.

Step 4

Final Interviews

After the first-round interviews, we'll notify you promptly if you've been selected to progress to the final stage of the recruitment process.

Final interviews will be held the following week.

Your application should include your resume, a cover letter (more details below) and your academic transcripts.

People aren’t the sum of their resume, grades, and awards. A cover letter is an opportunity to tell us your story: what you are irrationally passionate about, what brings you energy and joy, and what you are really proud of in your journey so far. It’s also an opportunity for you to tell us the context behind your resume e.g., volunteering experiences, community impact, time worked while studying, or the challenges you have overcome to make a particular achievement more significant. 

We also want to know how this Scholarship will help you reach your potential, have impact on a community, and achieve something you wouldn’t be able to otherwise.

Our scholarships are open to penultimate and pre-penultimate students only. However, we recruit for graduate roles all year round. You are welcome to submit an application any time through our portal  here.
